Playful and purifying
The dragon tree 'Sunray' (Dracaena marginata) has blades that fan out in all directions, creating a playful effect! The playful blades also purify the air for healthy oxygen levels in your living room!
Taking care of this indoor plant is a piece of cake! The dragon tree likes having light, but not strong, midday sun. Water the plant weekly. The Dracaena has a dormant period in the winter. During this period, the plant only needs to be watered occasionally. Water it a bit more in the summer. The leaves should also be sprayed occasionally. This prevents the leaf edges from drying out.

How to plant the Dracaena in a pot?
This houseplant is delivered in a standard growers pot. It’s best for the growth of the Dracaena to plant it in a decorative planter. Select a pot that is at least 20 percent larger than the growers pot.
Cover the bottom of the decorative planter with a layer of potting soil. Does the decorative pot have a hole? Then start with a layer of hydro grains, so the water can drain away. The Dracaena should be 1 to 2 cm below the rim. Remove the growers pot and place the plant in the middle of the decorative pot. Fill the pot with fresh potting soil and press it down slightly.
What do I need?
- Planter
- Potting soil
- Hydro grains (optional)

How do I take care of Dracaena?
For best growth, water the Dracaena weekly. Dissolve a little green plant fertiliser in the irrigation water every second week. In summer, it may be necessary to water twice a week, only when the soil feels dry. The Dracaena needs a rest period in November and December. Then water less and don't fertilise.
Good air humidity of 60 to 70 percent is also important. Otherwise, the leaf edges may dry out. When the air is dry, spray the leaves once or twice a day. The Dracaena enjoys a light spot with morning or evening sun.
What do I need?
- Watering can
- Fertiliser for green plants
- Plant sprayer
