Description-

Simple. Pure. Fresh out of the ground.

Bare-rooted plants represent a true return to nature. Delightfully simple, pure and fresh out of the soil. We deliver this plant with bare roots, without a nursery pot and with less potting soil, which means it is better for the environment. And it is cheaper, too. Plant the bare-rooted plant in your garden or large planter in autumn or winter, but not during frosty temperatures. The result? It absolutely loves it! The plant has already flowered once, and its roots are extra strong as a result. We love them, take a look!   The large (edible), yellow with orange flowers will appear from summer. The large bells can reach up to 12-15 cm across! All daylilies form tight clumps that are attractive even when not in flower and are really rather decorative. These are lovely, compact growing perennials for beds or borders but will look just as effective potted on your patio or decking! The lovely flowers and the long flowering period make this an absolutely stunning plant for beds, borders or patios. Each flower will live but a day but new buds and flower stems just keep on coming up until the first frosts.

Daylilies will thrive in the garden. Dig a wide hole and loosen the soil with a fork. Improve poor soil with the addition of some well-rotted manure. Plant your Hemerocallis at the correct depth - the top of the root system should come to just below soil level. Fill the hole with soil and press well in. Water your daylily immediately. Your daylily will thrive in full sun or part shade. Potted daylily Daylilies look lovely potted up too and will definitely grace any patio or decking you place them on. Do ensure good drainage and choose a pot with holes in the base, layered with potsherds or gravel before you add the potting compost. Water your daylily immediately after planting. You will see the pale green foliage appear in the spring and the whole plant will burst into flower in the summer.
Verzorging+
The soil around Hemerocallis must not dry out. Daylilies will thrive in fairly moist soil, such as along the edge of the garden pond. Do not snip out overblown flower stems too soon, as there are usually new flower buds forming. The daylily is a very strong garden plant that can remain planted in the same spot for years to come. Give it a winter mulch of well-rotted manure around the base of the clump.
Herkomst+
Hemerocallis flowers are not only beautiful to admire, but they are also edible! In Asian countries, the daylily flower buds are even considered a delicacy! The name daylily represents the fact that these lily-like flowers only open for one day. However, since there are many flower buds on its stems, the plant seems to be overflowing with flowers during the summer.
