White Currants 'White Pearl' (Ribes Rubrum) are low-maintenance plants that are undemanding as to soil type, so they can be grown in any garden. Nothing is tastier than freshly picked currants in summer. They are so healthy and nutritious. White currants are less common than red currants but have a deliciously sweet flavour. The currants can be harvested in July. Height supplied 30-40 cm.

These plants like light soil that has good drainage and is rich in humus. The results will be even better if a handful of enriched potting soil is added. Choose a sunny or partially sheltered position where the plants will be less exposed to frost. Make sure the root ball is well-moistened before planting White Currants 'White Pearl' by soaking in a bucket of lukewarm water. Prepare a suitable hole and plant the 'White Pearl' at the appropriate depth. The top of the root ball should be slightly below ground level. Don't plant it too deep! Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. Spacing between the bushes is approximately one metre.
