We love plants grown in water!

Ready for a new plant trend? Hydroponics involves placing the roots of your plants in water, rather than in potting soil. This calathea' s roots are resting in beautiful Samoa glass with LED lighting from Intenz Home! The best thing about hydroponics is that you get to enjoy the stylish combination of plants and glass, and you get to watch the roots grow from all sides. The calathea has strikingly striped leaves with a purple underside. The LED lighting in the Samoa glass emphasises these features even more. It's a real eye-catcher!
This combination hardly requires any maintenance. Also ideal for those of us who don't have 'green fingers'! Put the calathea in a light spot, but not in any direct sunlight. Rinse the roots about once a month and change the water in the glass. If the water isn't dirty, you can even leave it longer. If the water becomes cloudy before then, the glass can be rinsed and cleaned. The Samoa glass allows the roots of the plant to grow down into the water. The roots are clearly visible, creating a beautiful effect. The plant decides for itself when it takes in water, making underwatering and overwatering things of the past.
Included is a set of 3 pieces of AAA batteries.

Extra tip: To prevent scaling in the vase, use spring water instead of tap water. Spring water is also full of minerals that help the plant to grow.
