The appearance of fruit trees and shrubs changes between seasons. From a bare plant lying dormant in winter to fresh greenery in spring, in full bloom during summer to leaves changing colour and dropping in autumn. This is a natural process courtesy of mother nature. Our plants will be delivered accordingly.

Make sure the rootball of Apricot 'Gold Rich' is well-moistened before planting by soaking it in a bucket of lukewarm water. Make a large hole of 50 x 50 x 50 cm in good, loose soil. Plant the rootball of the apricot tree at the appropriate depth, the top of the rootball should be just slightly below ground level. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. The apricot grows well in well-drained, fertile soil. Plant the tree in a warm and sheltered spot under complete sunshine. It is also possible to grow it in a greenhouse or conservatory. Spacing is 3.5 x 4 metres.
Apricot 'Gold Rich' is an easy-to-grow fruit. Provide it with extra water during dry periods. Accumulating too many fruits on the branches is not desirable. Allow approximately 7-10 cm between the young fruits so that the apricots develop well. Harvesting can begin in August. Place some compost around the tree in early spring. Pruning is rarely necessary for the apricot tree although you can carefully maintain the shape of young trees. Prune some branches off the mature trees every 2-3 years.
Apricot 'Gold Rich' is a disease-resistant succulent tree that grows apricots with a yellow-orange peel. Apricot 'Gold Rich' flowers in May and its branches get smothered with charming pink flowers. Eventually, you'll have a fairly large apricot tree. You can also plant it along a south wall as it is fan-shaped. Thus, the Apricot 'Gold Rich' needs very little space.
