The charming, double-flowered Lily 'Elodie' is ideal for the border as well as in flower pots on the patio or decking. As this lily variety has no stamens it does not produce pollen, which makes it perfect for cutting for the home as there is no danger of staining clothes! Double-flowered Lily 'Elodie' has a very compact growth with beautiful pink flowers.

The double-flowered Lily 'Elodie' bulbs should be planted with a depth of approximately 12-15 cm during the spring as long as there are no night frosts. They are ideal for either a spot with complete or partial sunshine sheltered from the wind. Prepare a large hole and plant the lily bulbs with the point facing upwards approximately 15 cm apart. Water well when finished planting. Double-flowered Lily 'Elodie' grows well in loose, humus-rich soil. You can improve the soil by adding compost and cow manure pellets. Double-flowered Lily 'Elodie' lily bulbs can remain in the same spot for several years.

Feed the Double-flowered 'Lily 'Elodie' with plant food mixed with water during the flowering period. Lilies can suffer from the lily beetle which is bright red in colour, the grubs are yellow. To prevent them from eating the leaves and other arterial parts of the lily, remove the beetles, eggs or grubs and destroy them. During winter, cover the Lily 'Elodie' bulbs with a layer of leaves to protect them from severe frost. 'Lily 'Elodie' grown in pots can be overwintered in a frost free area.
