Fireworks in the garden

The hydrangea 'Fireworks' (Hydrangea macrophylla) creates an explosion of colour. The red flowers adorn your border. Free-standing hydrangeas are also beautiful. Each bush has 3–5 branches. You can plant the hardy hydrangeas all year round, provided temperatures have not dipped below freezing. The flowers bloom in the summer.
Pruning is not necessary. Unless the bush becomes too large. Plant the hydrangeas in partial shade. The soil should be kept damp. Give them extra water during dry periods.

Planting+
Make sure the root ball of the Hydrangea is well-moistened by soaking in a bucket of lukewarm water before planting.  Prepare a suitable hole in good, loose soil. Plant the root ball of Hydrangea at the appropriate depth in the hole. The top of the root ball should be just slightly below ground level. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. This plant grows well in a large pot. Make sure that there are holes in the base to allow adequate drainage.
Care+
Water your Hydrangeas regularly during dry periods as dry soil is not tolerated very well. Between March and July to allow for an extra rich bloom, add plant food monthly when watering. Provide it with granulated cow manure early in the year.
Specifics+
Hydrangeas have loose umbels, the well filled flowers are quite unique, they resemble little stars. The flowers first bloom as green and later turn colour. These beautiful hydrangeas will also look gorgeous when used in a flower arrangement.
