Planting+
As soon as possible after receiving the winter aconite tubers they can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Tubers planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant.
A good tip is to soak the tubers overnight in tepid water to help them get established more quickly. Plant them approximately 5 cm deep and 3 to 5 cm apart. Loosen the soil well and plant the tubers roots down. Refill the hole and avoid walking over the soil. Plant the winter aconite one by one with a small trowel. For larger groups make a wider hole and plant more tubers together. They grow best in normal garden soil that is not too dry.
Care+
Eranthis Cilicica corms are ideal for naturalising. Just plant them and enjoy the beautiful results year after year.  They will produce more flowers each year, creating a glorious natural feature in the garden. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and only cut the leaves back when they turn yellow - also if planted through the lawn. The following spring, Eranthis Cilicica will once more bring colour to the garden.
Specifics+
Winter Aconites together with snowdrops, are one of the first spring flowers in the garden. Eranthis cilicica has deeply incised leaves that are formed directly below the flower. The cheerful flowers are reminiscent of buttercups. The plant is able to withstand cold weathers and even survives through the snow. They are a must for the winter garden and mixed with snowdrops are perfect for allowing to naturalise.
