Planting+

As soon as possible after receiving the Tulip 'Mistress' and Narcissi 'Pink Pride' bulbs they can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. Plant the bulbs in a planting hole that is three times as deep as the height of the bulbs. A bulb of 5 cm should be planted in a 15 cm deep hole. The planting distance between the narcissi and tulips is approximately 10 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the bulbs with the point facing upwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. Plant the bulbs one by one with a small trowel or with a special bulb planter. For larger groups make a wider hole and plant more bulbs in it. Most tulips and narcissi thrive in fertile, well-drained, humus-rich soils, in a sunny or partially shaded spot.

Tulip 'Mistress' combined with Narcissi 'Pink Pride'

The more flower bulbs of Tulip 'Mistress' and Narcissi 'Pink Pride' planted, the greater effect the flowers will have. Plant in groups of at least 6 bulbs, or divide about 25 to 50 flower bulbs evenly over the garden border or flower bed. Tulip 'Mistress' combined with Narcissi 'Pink Pride' will also grow well in a flower pot or patio planter. Make sure you use fresh potting compost and put a layer of gravel or hydro granules at the bottom of the pot. Plant the bulbs approximately 7 cm apart making sure the bulbs are well mixed to give a truly spectacular display.

Care+

The bulbs of the Narcissus 'Pink Pride' can remain in the same spot for many years. Deadhead the faded flowers and this will direct the energy back into the bulb. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. The flowers of the Tulip 'Mistress' are at their best in the first year. That’s why we recommend each year adding new and extra bulbs to make your borders and pots even more colourful. Water in dry periods. To protect the bulbs grown in a pot against frost, place the pot in a frost-free area or cover it with bubble wrap.

Extra+

The colours of Narcissus Tulipa 'Mistress' and Narcissus ''Pink Pride' harmonize beautifully together. The Tulipa 'Mistress' petals are dark pink with a lighter pink border. With Narcissus 'Pink Pride' the colouring is in the corona which is surrounded with the white petals. An enchanting combination for the Spring Garden!
