Plant the large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ as soon as possible after receipt, in the garden or in pots and planters. Plant in a hole 3 times deeper than the height of the bulb - a 2 cm bulb goes in a 6 cm hole with a planting distance of about 2 cm. Loosen the soil well with a fork and plant the crocus with the point upwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. For larger groups, dig a wider hole and plant more bulbs together. Large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ will thrive in well-drained soil – and the more the merrier really. Try groups of at least 25 - or even 25-50 spread evenly over the bed, border, or lawn.
