Planting+

As soon as possible after receiving the large-flowered crocus corms, they can be planted in the garden, flower pot or a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. Plant the corms about 10 cm deep with a planting distance of about 2 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the corms with the roots facing downwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. A spectacular effect can be created by planting them in large groups. Crocus grow best in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in a spot in full sun or partial shade.

Large-Flowered Crocus Mix in the lawn

Our colourful mix of large-flowered crocus will give a spectacular display in the lawn. Divide the corms evenly over the lawn, the more you plant the more effective they will look. You can plant the corms easily by making an incision in the grass, remove some soil and plant the corm. Refill with soil and push the grass back into position. You can also remove an area of grass and plant the bulbs at the correct depth into the soil, replace the grass and water well. You can only mow the lawn in the spring after the leaves have turned yellow. The mixed Crocus are also suitable for planting in pots and patio planters.

Care+

The large-flowered crocus are ideal for naturalizing and can be left in the same spot for years without requiring any care and attention. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. The following spring you will be rewarded once again with an abundance of colourful flowers.

Extra+

The crocus is one of the first messengers of spring in the garden. These charming flowers cheer up your garden or patio in early spring. Plant them in the ground and leave them undisturbed, and they will return in increasing abundance year after year. These low-growing subjects also do well in flower pots and window-boxes. Our crocus mix consists of white, yellow and purple. A sensational composition of colours for the early spring. You can clearly distinguish the bottom of the corm by the tufts of small roots.
