Orchids

Orchids: exotic masterpieces
With their exotic flowers in the most beautiful colours and shapes, orchids are true works of art. You can actually enjoy their beauty for months, as long as you give them a proper spot in your home: bright and sunny, but not directly in the sun. Orchids do not require much water. A splash (or an ice cube) once a week is more than enough!

Orchids

Caring for orchids
With the proper care, these beautiful plants grow and flower for years. Orchids can be found all over the world. In warm climates and in colder climates, hung in trees and on the ground. There are about 30,000 different varieties of orchids, making it one of the largest plant families in the world. Each orchid has its own culture needs. The correct care tips for looking after an orchid are described in the specific orchids.
Keeping your orchid(s) in a moist atmosphere
Orchids prefer to be kept in a humid climate. Spray your indoor orchid fairly regularly with (rain) water. Although an orchid can tolerate being a little on the dry side, the plant grows better with a higher humidity level.
