Phlox Mixed are perennials that grow best in the ground. Prepare a suitable hole in fertile, moist soil. Improve poor garden soil by mixing in compost and granulated cow manure. Plant the Phlox Mixed at the correct depth in the hole. The top of the root ball should be just below ground level. Fill the hole with soil, press firmly and water immediately after planting. Phlox Mixed grows and blooms well in the sun or partial shade. Phlox Mixed make an excellent combination plant The stunning Phlox Mixed are eye-catchers in the flower border and in flower beds. The hearty flower spikes have long, sturdy stems. Plant them in the border along with Monarda 'Mohawk' and Leucanthemum 'Wirral Supreme'. Phlox also combines beautifully with roses. These plants are an excellent choice if you are planning a beautiful colourful border!
Care
Phlox Mixed are easy-to-grow perennials that can remain in the same spot for several years. Be sure to prevent the soil around the roots from drying out. Dry soil is not well tolerated. Phlox Mixed grow well in moist soil but can survive in regular garden soil. Deadhead to prolong the flowering season. In autumn cut the stems down to the base and mulch with compost or well-rotted manure in early spring. Cover the plants with a layer of fallen leaves. In spring, you will soon see new shoots appearing above the ground. Phlox Mixed need to be trimmed In spring, trim the Phlox Mixed back by a third to promote a better flowering in July.
